• Committees

  • Volunteering for a committee is a great way to network, have fun, and further understand the workings of our Chamber. Please read over the list below and bring your skills and ideas to one or many of our committees. The Jarrell Chamber of Commerce works when our members work with us!

If you would like to volunteer or if you have any questions, please email us at info@jarrellcoc.com and we will connect you with the appropriate committee member.  If there is not a chair or co-chair listed, you may also volunteer for one of those positions.

    Annual Chamber Gala
The Gala committee meets every other week beginning in September. Committee members will plan and organize the Chamber’s special evening to honor outstanding business and community leaders. Help us create a theme, bring in auction items and pull off the largest fundraiser of the year!

This committee is responsible for planning the monthly lunch meetings and quarterly after-hours events. This includes choosing a location, menu and guest speakers to attract members. Member volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to events to facilitate setup and greet guests.

    Membership Committee
    Chair: Katie Lewis
The Membership Committee is composed of member volunteers dedicated to increasing and promoting the benefits of chamber membership. Members plan, coordinate and execute the Chamber’s marketing initiatives, which includes our website, monthly newsletter and member retention programs.

    Nominating Committee
The nominating committee is appointed by the chairman of the board each August, and consists of five active members of the chamber.  The Chairman of the Board designates the chairman of the committee.

    Scholarship Committee
The charge for the Scholarship Committee is to review and select recipient(s) for the Jarrell Chamber of Commerce annual scholarship for high school seniors.  In addition, the committee will advise the Board of Directors in establishing and modifying scholarship criteria and other elements of the scholarship program.
